Read and wrote Jeremiah Chapter 1 this morning.
The LORD told Jeremiah before he formed him in his mothers womb he knew him and before he was born He set him apart and appointed him as a prophet to the nations. Of course he thought he was too young. He lacked self confidence but the LORD promised to be with him. He was going to be the spokesperson the LORD had appointed to tell His people to repent of their sins and turn back to Him.
The LORD is calling Jeremiah to warn his people of Judah of the coming judgment because they have turned away from him. The LORD touched Jeremiah’s lips and put his words in his mouth.
Jeremiah was told not to be terrified by them, or the LORD would terrify him before them. Jeremiah was told in advance that Judah would fight against him but they would not overcome him, for the LORD was with him and would rescue him.
Lets face today knowing the SAME LORD that was with Jeremiah is with us today. As we take a bold stand for His Truth that so many do not want to hear. Let us not be terrified of them, our LORD is with us!
What is the LORD calling us to do and will He find us faithful? It is so reassuring that the God of Jeremiah loves me the same as He did Jeremiah.
